OUTLINE: THE OUTLOOK     The Outlook is an island west of the Olympian Empire. The land had been purchased for farming, but not much civilization can be found here quite yet. The Empire is still deciding what to do with it. In the meantime, mercenaries have been hired to guard the coast in case of an invasion. There has not been an attack on this front for many years, thus they don't tend to pay much mind to watch happens on the land. The land itself is grassy, hilly, and generally quiet. Some wildlife is found in certain areas, largely peaceful and skittish to human interaction. THE LANDING ZONE     Considered by Sael to be an "ideal landing zone" during the July 15th attack by an unknown force. This once-grassy, quiet area is now devastated by destruction of the Refugee's emergency ejection. However, the natives of the Olympian Empire see this event as a meteor shower and a blessing from Thesa. Whether or not the area can be returned to its natural beauty or remains a desolate junkyard is up to the Refugees. THE NEARBY WOODS     Woods that surround the plains, all dry from a recent drought. This would be an ideal location to gather firewood. A small Freshwater river feeds into many streams and creeks throughout the woods— an ideal source for water. A clever and thirsty observant may notice that animals tend to drink near beds of dark red lilypads. Keeping a lilypad immersed in the water seems to disinfect it. There is little wildlife to be found here— mostly the occasional small rodent, bird, or minnow. THE LAGOON     About 10 minutes walking distance from the crash site, Refugees will find The Lagoon. This water is disinfected with those strange lilypads, but perhaps most interestingly, wild game can be found in the area. Deer, rabbit, and duck, to be specific. Fish are plentiful within its waters. What seem to be the remains of abandoned houses line some areas of the shore, but time has rendered the structure unsafe and unlivable, the wood too moist to be used as firewood. There are no resources to be found, but searching around the area thoroughly will yield fossilized bones. They don't seem to belong only to humans... THE ANCIENT GROVE     A small, lush area at the heart of the woods that seems to be unaffected by the recent drought. Unfortunately, wildlife does not seem fond of this area, either. However, foraging for wild vegetables in the area around the lagoon will yield clovers, blackberries, and asparagus.
